Carolyn Daw, director
MCIM, DipM
A business graduate with a post graduate diploma in marketing, Carolyn is responsible for strategic marketing and campaign development. She is a service-marketing specialist who believes that marketing, direct marketing and PR functions are intricately linked.
With a career beginning in journalism and the media, Carolyn progressed to work in both advertising and marketing agencies. She started her own PR and marketing agency in Devon in 1993 before the business moved to larger premises across the Tamar to Cornwall in March 2005. A strategic thinker, she has worked for many of the region's leading service organisations in business support, information, advice and guidance, training and legal services.
Kate Williams, press officer
B.A. (Hons)
Kate Williams is an experienced press officer working within education, food and drink and public sector organisations. A PR graduate from The University of Exeter, she joined The Marketing-PR Company in 2008 and has successfully developed her 'e-consumer' writing style and 'editorial contacts' at national newspapers. Kate is a keen wordsmith with a good eye for identifying innovative news angles. She puts her excellent communication skills to good use managing the press office; distributing releases, answering media enquiries and setting up media interviews.
Lynda Hardy Maskell, PR consultant
Lynda works with The Marketing-PR Company as an independent PR consultant on business to business accounts. Her extensive experience in the financial industry makes her an excellent authoritative commentator with the ability to provide an internal communications strategy input. Within the company, Lynda's skills as a researcher and feature writer result in a topical news story that both sets the agenda and creates consumer discussion.
Before a move to Cornwall Lynda previously worked at the London Stock Exchange and in the press office for Alliance & Leicester, during its pre-plc acquisition of Girobank. She has also covered the head of PR role for Legal & General and international law firm Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer.
